Come join us and other brothers and sisters from across Canada and the United States, as we get inspired from God’s word and our time together. What a great opportunity it will be to learn more about how to allow God’s amazing grace to overflow and to work powerfully in our daily lives as single disciples.
We are priviliged to have our guest speakers, Forest Versele and his wife, Mandy, from Roanoke, Virginia, USA, who will certainly encourage us through the bible, their lives and their experiences.

You’ll also have the opportunity to spend an afternoon with other singles dining at one of Montreal’s finest French restaurants. In addition to this, we’ll be offering a café/déssert party that will take place in a memorable interior garden – filled with great fellowship and lots of fun.

Hey Girlfriend! Hello Montreal! Come on Montreal!
Rhythm of the World (Rythme du Monde) 2008
By Sandra Best
World Rhythm is an annual event organized by the Church of Christ of
Montreal. The event was first initiated in 1995 and as ever since been one of our most popular events. Effectively, every year we have an average of about 100 attendants!
For the occasion, about thirty countries are represented through performances, decorations, music and lots of food.
This year again, we are rolling out the red carpet and are devoting a day to the celebration of diversity in culture. Even when enjoying delicious meals, dancing and singing, we can be surprised to see how much God works in any situation to make his desire of having a relationship with all of us become reality.
Both disciples for now thirteen years, our brothers in the faith Alex Masson and Cyrille Fopoussi are examples of how God used an event to call his children to his light. For Cyrille and Alex, the World Rhythm was the first activity they were invited to in 1995. Alex was attracted mostly by free food while Cyrille was curious about different aspects, he says: "I was attracted by the idea of people from different backgrounds, cultures, social ranks coming together and celebrating their diversities in all kind of ways (did I say fooood as a poor campus student???) But more importantly celebrating, having fun, dancing singing and enjoying life together!" Although they had different reasons for coming they were both impacted. Alex could not believe people actually took the time to prepare special dishes and Cyrille still can?t forget the interactions between people that seemed "fake"; he had never seen such genuine friendships before!
Both say attending World Rhythm was a first step in them becoming disciples. Alex says: "When the party finished I stayed to clean the place and since I had missed my last metro I slept over at some disciples place, so the next morning I went to church with them." While Cyrille recognises that he was quite cautious about religion and would have never agreed to a church invitation, approaching the subject of God in another setting really opened his eyes.
It is important to remember that God always works in all the activities we do. Sometimes events such as World?s Rhythm become just another event that demands planning, serving, and time from our busy schedules but as Cyrille said beautifully this events are important because they present potential to reach out to people "from all nations" Matthew 28: 19 and help us become "all things to all men so that by all possible means we might save some" 1Corithiens 9: 22.
